The sensor may be on fire if the oil consumer has bailed out or the reduction of the pressure relief valve has weakened. Check the oil pressure. It may be that the sensor is either in a malfunction or in a contact with a pressure sensor or a bad signal from the sensor when the sensor is damaged. It can also react to poor quality oil or a bad oil filter.
