The seventh generation of Passate's turbotors are poorly warmed up at idle revolutions in the cold time of the year, which forces many owners to think about setting off the engine remotely. However, such signals have their own shortcomings. First, the car with the engine is very easy to steal because the label of the immobilizer is always in the passenger compartment (otherwise the engine will not start). Second, remote launch alarms can cause errors in car systems (not all alarms are compatible with Passover of the seventh generation). Third, remote launch may damage the steering wheel if the rudder is left in the extreme position.

The engine and occupant preheaters will help to avoid all problems related to the use of remote launch. They are also capable of prolonging the life of the engine, because the launch in cold time has a negative impact on the engine's resource.
