The big oil consumption on the Volkswagen turbotors is a known problem.
The operating instructions indicate that the allowable oil flow is about 500 ml per 1,000 km of mileage. The engine consumption of more than 600 ml may be a malfunction.
The problem can be solved by replacing the piston group.
The reasons for the high oil consumption are as follows.
-Failed or in violation of new car. During the rundown period, the increased flow-up to 0.5l/1000 km-is the norm.
-Turbated engines are poorly adapted to long-running idling (for example, in traffic) and at too high speed.
