Three main reasons for diesel engine triage are:

  • A valve failure in one of the nozzles;
  • Fuel system or fuel line airdown by one of the nozzles;
  • Loss of electrical contact at the terminals of one of the fuel injectors.

In the case of the first two problems, it is generally observed that the difficulty of starting the engine (and often the engine does not start at all). In the case of a valve failure, the nozzle must be replaced (but before testing). If the air is to be removed from the system, it is necessary to looses the fitting of the fuel tube on the nozzle, and to scroll the starter until the tube is soar. It is recommended, however, that the DWPD detach the inverse of the inverse of the fuel by placing it in a salt-water tank (to prevent air from entering the pump).

In the event of loss of electrical contact, engine starting problems are generally not observed. To correct the problem, it is necessary to clean the contacts and verify the reliability of the electrical connections.
