The fuel mixture requires two components, the fuel and the air. Air enters the engine through the air intake system. The air in the engine contains dust and other outsiders, so it must be filtered.

This is the function of the air filter. The air filter of most cars is located in a special crust under the hood of the car. It is often easier to replace an air filter than any other. To do this, you need to:

  1. Open the hood of the car.
  2. Find a box with an air filter, it will be a thick air duct, which ends with an air intake.
  3. Open the cover of the air filter corp: it is secured by screws or latches
  4. Retrieve the old filter.
  5. Clear the box of debris and dust. It is not possible to throw everything in the hole at the bottom of the box, since in this case the debris will be straight into the engine.
  6. Set up a new filter and seal the cover of the box. It is important not to confuse the air filter location inside the box. To do this, remember the old filter set.
