The main purpose of the engine cooling system is the cooling of the hot parts of the engine. Cooling system performs the following functions:

1. Cooling motor oil

2. Chilled air in the turbocharged system, if fitted

3. Refrigeration exhaust gas in the recycling system

4. Refrigeration automatic gearbox, if fitted

5. Heating air in the ventilation and heating system

There are three types of cooling systems:

1. Air

2. Air-liquid (combined)

3. Bone

The modern motor vehicles use the engine cooling liquid system.

The standard cooling system for a modern petrol or diesel engine consists of the following elements:

1. Cooling expansion tank

2. Exhaust gas recirfier system

3 Heat exchanger ("bakers")

4. Coolant temperature sensor

5. Coolant centrifugal pump (pump)

6. Coolant temperature sensor

7. Thermostat

8. Oil cooler

9. Additional coolant pump (not applicable anywhere)

10. Cooling system diator

In modern cars, the refrigeration system is controlled by electronics that focuses on the following data:

1. Engine oil temperature

2. Cooling liquid temperature

3. Ambienvironmental temperature

The electron analysises the data and adjusts the cooling system by focusing on the results of the analysis.
