The fuel consumption is the information that every owner has to know about his car. This is not about "passport" data, which indicates the producers: the actual fuel consumption is different from the figures obtained during the test.

Usually, the fuel consumption of the vehicle is measured in the number of litres, which is 100 km away. The motorists have two basic ways to measure and calculate the fuel consumption.

Method 1

  1. Fill the full tank of petrol at a proven gas station, and fill up the extra 20 to 25 litres in the can. The Canister should be used with a graduated scale on the side.
  2. Take the odometer reading and go on a regular route.
  3. Drive 100 kilometers, stop, and get the fuel to the full tank.
  4. The amount of fuel that you have made after a 100-km journey and will be the cost of the car.

Second

  1. Wait until the light bulb on the dashboard light shows that the fuel is running out.
  2. Lock up the tank.
  3. Remember the odometer reading.
  4. You can go in normal mode until the light bulb on the dashboard again.
  5. Watch the odometer reading again and subtract the initial readings.
  6. Dividits the volume of your fuel tank with the received mileage figure and multiply by 100. Thus, you will receive the fuel consumption of your vehicle by 100 km.

Both methods of calculating average fuel consumption are fairly simple and do not require any particular skills or tools. The first is to be more precise and reliable.
