The technological spare wheel, called the dockatch, is now completing 93% of all the world's cars. It is not intended for full use, but only serves to ensure that in the case of a punctile of the main wheel to the nearest workshop or binomorite. But this needs to be done in an appropriate way, since there are special recommendations for moving with the technology wheel. The drivers, whose cars are equipped with rink, need to know which axis to put it, as well as how many kilometers and at what speed it is possible to pass. How the Duck appeared.

How the Duck appeared.

Originally, this wheel was used only in automakers for the domestic needs of the automaker, so it got the name of the technology. Such wheels, for example, were placed on the car when it was driven off the conveyor if the main wheel installed during the assembly was turned out to be substandard or flat. To avoid delaying the movement of the conveyor, the vehicle was rolled back onto a special deflective area, where the technology wheel was removed and made normal, suitable for the type and size of a particular model.

What is the difference between a regular wheel and a drier

There are several significant differences between the milkette and the full-dimensional wheel. The Daughter is always mounted on a special metal disc and is usually the same size or an inch smaller than the main wheels. This is because the manufacturer is trying to minimize its costs. The model range of any car factory includes models with different sizes of the wheels, and practically every model in the car dealership can be ordered with bigger wheels. It is not difficult to calculate the benefit of the automaker from the fact that the milkette on them will be the same.

The tread depth of the subcutter is 4 mm, and the rubber itself is lighter than the normal wheel

The rubber band has a softer, tread depth of 4 millimeters. There are no cameras in the wheels.  The side of the side surface, compared to the standard wheel, is very weak and does not impact. The wheel is pumpin to 4 to 5 of the atmosphere and has a small patch of contact with the carriageway.  From this load, the rink produces its own resources up to the solved 2-millimetre rules for 4 to 5 thousand kilometers. As a result of the small diameter of the dockatka, the ground clearance is greatly reduced.

How to go on the dockette

If you have a flat tire and you have to put it in, you need to analyze the situation first. The decor cannot be placed on the leading axis because the difference in angular velocity between the wheels will immediately increase, which is extremely harmful for the differential. And if the leading actuator is brought forward also the ball supports, the front suspension blocks and the gear rack are also affected. Therefore, if a wheel is missing on a leading bridge, it is recommended to change it to a full-bridge on the other axis, and it is recommended to put it there. Drivers of vehicles with a permanent full drive would better place the wheel on the bridge, which has the maximum value for the distribution of the moment.

It can be reached at a speed of not more than 60 km/h

The test speed shall not exceed 60 km/h. Because the contact mark is much smaller than the normal wheel, the driveability is greatly reduced and the stopping distance increases considerably. Specialists of the Russian Central Scientific and Research Automotive Testing Ground for Testing and Certification of cars and motor technicians have determined that, on average, the stopping distance of a car with a drivel is increased by two meters.

If there is a dose, the electronic assistants (type ABS, ESP or DSTC) do not work correctly because they accept smaller wheel diameter and start fighting actively. It is not necessary to roll the steering wheel or change the lane either, because a wheel with a smaller contact just may not have time to catch the tread on the road, and the car will start to wear forward as the car moves. It is not recommended to tow a trailer with the car. Also, you can't drive with two docks at the same time.

The greater the difference in the diameter of the standard wheel and the drivink, the more difficult it is to drive the car

The greater the difference in the diameter of the normal wheel and the drivels, the more difficult it is to control the car by keeping it on the necessary trajectory.  If the difference is small and is not more than 1 inch, you can move easily-the car will normally listen to the steering wheel and the electronic systems will not be delivered.  If the difference is 2 or more inches, then the electronic systems ABS, ESP, DSTC should be disabled if possible.  If this is not done, the wheels will be permanently blocked, as the computer will think that the clutch of the wheel is different and it will be stuck on one wheel without driving the car normally. You can disconnect systems from the computer menu, and most models provide this capability. If this is not possible, it should be neatly and smoothly, not by making any sudden movements, to try to get to the mounting of the binoculers. If it is impossible to travel far or trip due to excessive interference by electronic assistants, the further way is better to continue on the tug.

If you are well-informed, you can easily reach the mounting of the dockable. The main thing is to move at a minimum speed, avoiding abrupt accelerations, braking and reconstructions from a row into a row without special need, as well as to observe precautionary measures. New car drivers, as well as drivers going to the far road, are better placed in the trunk instead of a full-size spare.
