The smell of burned plastics can occur at the very beginning of the Mitsubishi Outlander XL. It is believed to be due to a burnout of the coating of the silencer. The recycling of air is particularly enhanced. After a while (from 500 to 2,000 km of mileage) the smell should disappear on its own.
