On some of the Ford Mondeo 4 in the interior lighting of the passenger compartment there is room under the sub-margin, and there are no LEDs in them. You can install the LEDs on your own. They will operate in the same mode as those installed at the plant, that is, when the gauges or the dipped-beam headlamps are switched ON with the ignition on.

There may be several types of plastic backlights that can be installed on a sub-margin. The first is the background of the card reader, and the second is the background of the card reader and the alarm system. Black rectangular holes on the headphones are the spaces for setting the sub-margin illumination.

The work will require a set of supphials, a thermo-shrink tube of different diameter, a length of half meter and two diodes of any colour that you like.

The first stage of work is the dismantling of the ceiling. It is assigned to the latches. For convenience, a transparent plastic reflector may be removed first. To do this, you need to gently click it off the base ceiling. After that, you need to remove the entire plasma and disconnect all the wires that are running. Remember where you don't want to connect, because you can't connect the assembly correctly.

There's another unconnected wire under the ceiling. It is needed for the correct work of the submarine highlighting. You have to look for it.

When the plug is disconnected, it is also necessary to remove the alarm system board (if any). On one side it is secured by the locking tabs, and the other is in two pases. You need to carefully remove the retainer locking tabs and remove the card. You do not need to turn off the wires.

You can then go directly to the installation of the LEDs. The LED itself will have to be reworked. In his case, you will have to make the epiphany with the guide, so that the diode gets in place and lock onto the rails. It's important to make such a drink so that the diode goes tugo and doesn't hang out in the landing place. After the diodes are installed, they need to be fitted. It is important to observe polarity, otherwise the diode may burn. It is possible to connect the LEDs through a plaid or directly to the wires. You can isolate the connection points with a thermoshrink tube.

Now we need to plug in two wires to the LED. One of the wires from the LED is plugged into the plug on the plug, the other in the slot located under the roof of the car.

After that, you need to gather everything in reverse sequence.

If the diodes are too bright, they can be smoother with a small coat.
