Some models of the BMW are equipped with a useful RPA option, which controls tyre pressure during traffic, commits a sharp drop and warns the driver about the punction of the wheel. The RPA system receives information from the ABS anti-rotation sensors, but it records a sharp drop in pressure only during motion, so if the wheel has been pulled down, the RPA might not work.

Experienced drivers are advised to leave the RPA system on BMW 5 E60, as it helps to respond quickly to the wheels, especially at high speeds.
