Originally, adaptive turntable headlamps were not part of the standard BMW 5 E60 and were placed on the car as an option. Adaptive turning lights are designed to improve traffic safety. The direction of rotation of both units of adaptive headlamps shall be based on the measurement of the steering angle, the yaw rate, and the speed of the vehicle in real time. All this allows the car to choose the optimal lighting of the road when moving in the turn.
