There is a misleading view that the brake pads need to be changed in a single fixed period of time, and then the car will be "seamless" and ideally slow. But wear and tear depend on many factors, such as weather and road conditions, individual driving styles, etc.  What is a brake pad and why?

What is a brake pad and why?

The brake pad is a steel plate that has a special lining made of friction materials with high friction. This material is designed for sliding, friction, etc. From the quality of the friction material, the quality of the pad itself depends on the quality of the material. Any pad manufacturer has its own composition of friction materials. Production uses rubber, mineral fibres, resins, etc.
