To remove the exterior rear-view mirror on Volkswagen Tuareg 2, do the following:
(1) Remove the upholstery of the front door.
(2) Looseplate door panel
3) Disconnect the mirror-power connectors.
4) Insert a rubber tux of the electric power train into the load-bearing panel.
5) Remove the adhesive covering the mounting screws of the mirror.
(6) Tighten the three thumbscrews and remove the mirror from the door by pulling the electric drive through the opening.
7) Set everything in reverse sequence.
