The GRM RV4 chain tension checking is done in several stages:
(1) Check the tenor. To do this, lift the ratchet and move the plunger. He has to move without eating. Once the ratchet is fixed, the plunger should not be blended with a finger.
(2) Completely stretch the circuit No1 (large) and with the help of the circular caliper the length of 16 of its links. It shall not be more than 122.6 mm. A more stretched circuit is to be replaced.
(3) Completely extend the circuit No2 (smaller) and use the tangent to measure the length of 8 of its links. It shall not be more than 52.4 mm. A more stretched circuit is to be replaced.
