The hybrid system of the Toyota Prius, even in the execution of all necessary actions, may not be launched. There may be several reasons for this: Lack of fuel-you have to refuel the vehicle. The electrical key is discharged. Electrical problems such as breaking a chain or overblown fuse. The immobilizer is defective.

  1. Lack of fuel-there is a need to refuel the vehicle.
  2. The electrical key power element is discharged.
  3. Electrical problems, such as a rupture of the chain or the fuse.
  4. Immobilizer malfunction.

If the "POWER" check box is selected, you can do the following to start the Toyota Prius hybrid system:

  • activate the manual brake,
  • switch to "ACCESSORY" mode,
  • to squeeze the brake pedal for 15 minutes, while at the same time pressing the "POWER" switch and holding it down.

Even if the hybrid system is launched in this way, it is necessary to go to the service and find out why it has not been launched in the usual way.
