Changing air filter to the ninth generation Lancer needs every 30,000 miles, but some recommend doing so twice as much as every scheduled maintenance.
To access the air filter, remove the two latches on the air filter body, unlock the halves of the filter, and get the filter. You can then install a new filter and close the enclosure. The filter cannot be installed correctly because of its form.
