The fuel filter is located in front of the rear right wheel. Before replacing the filter, it is recommended to turn off the fuel pump (it is located under the boot field, on the right side, to access it, lift the shell and unplug it, disconnect the power connector) and run the engine for a few seconds-the fuel leak will be minimal.
Chery Bonus can meet two types of fuel filter assembly:
- using a plastic hinge and a screw;
- using a fast-pull chute on the latches.
Replace the filter with a screw:
- Disconnect the fuel hoses from the filter;
- Remove the thumbscrew.
- to establish a new filter, the arrow shall be directed at the vehicle's motion;
- connect the hoses with the filter, tighten the handle.
Replace the filter with the latches:
- Disconnect the fuel hoses from the filter;
- Press fingers immediately on both latches until the handle is released;
- pull the handle and remove the filter.
- Replace the filter.
- connect the hoses with the filter, insert the handle until you click.
