First, a flat-blade screwdriver or other suitable instrument needs to fit the edge of the plastic border of the display. There is a screw that needs to be turned off. You can then remove the display with the panel. Next, disconnect the connector from the back of the display and release the retainer. Only the two screws connecting the display to the panel are unscrewed to divide the display.
