Before replacing the fuel filter with the Jaguar X-Type, it is desirable to remove pressure in the fuel system so that a large quantity of petrol is not spilled. To discharge the pressure, the following shall be applied:
- Open the hood
- Find Schroeder's valve (just like on wheels)
- Put a piece of cloth on the valve and press a match or something like that on the central part of the valve.
The pressure in the fuel system will drop, but with the filter disconnected, some fuel is still out.
