The throttle position sensor (TPS) is a potentiometer, which changes its resistance at the opening of the throttle, the maximum resistance is fully closed, and the minimum is fully open. You can test the health of the sensor by using a tester to measure the voltage. The nominal values are:

Idle speed: 300 to 900 mV (for engine 2.4) and 250 to 800 m (for engine 2.7).

The slow opening of the throttle is increasing.

-Full opening of the throttle, 4.25-4.7 mV.
