The BMW 3 E46 split-suction system (DISA) allows full advantage of both long and short suction pipes. The length of the pipeline will influence how fast the pressure of the reflective air flow will reach the intake valve and provide a boost effect that allows the engine cylinder to penetrate more of the fresh working mixture.
