The most frequent odour in the RAV4 cabin under load is for two reasons:
(1) The smell of hydrogen sulfide (egg) usually occurs after filling unhigh-quality petrol with a high sulphur content. It shall be activated in a catalyst at a sudden acceleration or a heavy load on the engine.
2) The smell of burning rubber. The most common source of smell is the muff. This is one of the features of RAV4. It is usually when it moves to the mountain on a full drive. In order to avoid the smell, it is necessary to try to work less handlebars when the force of full actuator is turned on, as the difference in wheel rotation causes the muff to slip.
