The headlight washer uses a lot of cleaning fluid, so many prefer to turn it off. VAG COM (Channel 004: Headlight Washer Time) or VAS can be used to do this.
You can also turn off the leader of the headlamps by removing the fuse to 20A, No36. It is in the fourth position on the right in the third row from below.
