The large cells of the raised-radiator grill are used to skip the small stones and the dirt that might damage the heat sink. A metal grid is installed between the heat sink and the plastic grill to secure the heat sink.

The grid is attached to the plastic side panels on the side of the heat sink in the engine compartment. It is desirable to use smores with a wide cap and not to tighten them too much, so that the plastic and the mesh are not cracked.
