Calibration of the compass on Mitsubishi Padero 4 must occur automatically. If the meter reading is not displayed, you must perform the self-tuning.
To do this, we close the hatch on the car (the configuration will be incorrect), press the ADJ button and choose the setting of COMPASS CALIBRATION. Then press twice on the SELECT and drive a full circle. This should be followed by the COMPASS CALIBRATION COMPLETE label.
It is also desirable to adjust the magnetic declination (the difference between the physical and magnetic poles). For different regions of Russia, the inducement varies from E10 to W10. The default is 0. To set the declination, press the ADJ button and select COMPASS VARIANCE. Use the arrows to set the value that you want to use (available from W28 to E28). Press SET to remember the setting.
