Although according to BMW 5 E60 operating manuals, it is recommended to charge the battery through the adhesive manufacturer under the bonnet, nothing to worry if you remove it and bring it home for charging. The vehicle will be equipped with watches and date, and with a long absence of battery capacity will be limited to the use of certain equipment (glass lifts, sliding lid, mirror with compass, etc.). These restrictions will be removed when the battery is adapted.
The AGM battery should be particularly careful not to charge more than 14.8 V in any circumstances, nor to use accelerated charging programs.
