After a year and a half, after the launch of the pipeline on the assembly of the Tiguans in Russia, Volkswagen announced that it is withdrawing all four-wheel-drive vehicles to eliminate the factory defect. This was caused by the self-mounting bolts of the rack-mounting bolts. A special "rubber seal" was not used when the bolts were tightened, as was intended for assembly technology. During the campaign, new bolts fitted with a sealant were installed.
