The EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation) on the Opel Vektra V (Ecotheque engine) is located on the rear side of the engine. If you want to replace it, you need to do the following:
(1) Remove a wire from the battery.
(2) The T-30 TORCS key to untwist two bolts and remove the plastic cover of the motor.
3) Disconnect the slot from the valve and use the T-45 key to unplug the valve bolts. The use of a Mr. Converter may be necessary due to the inconvenient location of the bolts.
(4) Clear the valve seat, if necessary, supply a new gasket.
Install a new valve and reconnect it all back.
