The increase in engine speeds during gear shift is the normal algorithm of the Mitsubishi ASX engine. This was done to accelerate the acceleration and was due to the low speed of low speed gas engines for dynamic acceleration. Increasing engine speed also contributes to a smoother gear shift and the extension of the service life of the transmission elements.
