The procedure for the removal of the air filter body for the Mercedes S-Class (W221):
- Remove the front cover of engine 1.
- The intake air ducts of 2 upstream of the air filter shall be removed.
- Disconnect the hose of 3 air pump from the filter body.
- Squeeze the bracket 5 and lift the air filter out of the four-valve cover.
- If the installation is reversed, it should be fitted with a silicone lubrication on the poles of 4 and on compaction 6. The filter body must be evenly applied to the supports so that the gap is tight and uniform. For hoses, 3, notice that the arrows on the hose and the filter frame look at each other.
