The VAZ Catalyst-2110 may be heated to a red light because the unburned mixture gets into it and burns in the catalyst itself. This occurs for the following reasons:
-No ignition of the mixture is available in one or more cylinders.
-The membrane of the fuel pressure regulator is damaged.
-One or more injectors.
A strong heating of the catalyst threatens that the machine will lose power, the engine will start tripling, and from under the bonnet, thick smoke will come. It is therefore recommended that diagnostics be sent urgently in the event of such a problem.
