The work to replace the engine oil and filter on Chevrolet Cobalt is best performed as soon as the trip is hot. The replacement procedure is as follows:
1) Unwind the filler cap.
(2) Remove the protection of the engine's crankcase.
3) The key "on 15" reduces the cork of the drain hole.
(4) Substitue the capacity for the oil with a volume of about 5 litres.
(5) Unwind the cork and the oil (minimum 10 min).
(6) Stop the cork back, if necessary, changing the pad. Moment of gravity 14 Nm.
(7) Substituting the reservoir with the oil filter, with his or her hands, or by means of a lift.
(8) Clear the filter, take a new filter and lubricating the engine oil.
(9) Enclose the filter until the sealings of the contact ring interface. Then we wind it up on the back of the back.
10) Fill the filler with about 3.75 litres of new oil.
11) Stop the filler cap and start the engine for 1 to 2 minutes until the oil pressure lamp goes out.
(12) Check the level of oil and the presence of the fogging.
