Three double signals for a non-keyed RAV4 startup may be a symptom of a smart key problem. First, check the batteries in the key and replace them if necessary. If the signal is not lost, the contact in the key may have been oxiditiated and cleaned carefully. Front door switches may also be a problem. When the bolts are released on the door lock, doors may not be fully closed.
