If, when the ignition is on and the brake pedal is applied, the selector lever at the Jip Grand Cherokee WK2 does not switch from position P, do the following:
- Turn the ignition to the ON position.
- Parking brake included.
- Take off the rubber liner from the central console's cup holder.
- On the bottom of the coaster, we find the cover of the locking mechanism and the screwdriver to snort it.
- We press the brake pedal and keep it together.
- Lock the screwdriver into the hole under the cover, press and hold the lever to disable the lock.
- Change the selector to the N position and start the engine.
