The brake fluid level shall be between "MAX" and "MIN", approximately one centimeter below the maximum. If the level below is below the minimum level, the brake fluid of the same type shall be required to be filled.
Brake fluid type-SAE J 1703, FMVSS 116 DOT3 or DOT4.
The manufacturer recommends that the brake fluid be changed to Prius at least once every two years or every 30,000 km.
