The Mercedes E-Class (W211) as an option was equipped with special headlamps allowing better display of the rotation area. If you move at a speed lower than 40 km/h, additional bend lighting is included both when the direction indicator is turned on and the steering wheel rotated. At a speed above 40 km/h, the additional bend lighting function is switched off.
It can be enabled as follows:
- Make sure the engine is running.
- Turn on the passing beam.
- Turn off the fog lights.
- Turn on the direction indicator.
The additional cornering lamp on the direction of the direction-indicator lamp shall also be lit if, after turning the direction-indicator lamp, you turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction.
