To check the ignition switch on Honda Civil 8: Unmount the upper and lower casing of the steering column. Connect the "6P" connector. Insert the key into the ignition locking system and test the connection between the terminals "No 1" and "No 2". The connection is not in the ignition lock. If the key is not in the specification, replace the ignition locking system with the reverse.
- Unmount the top and bottom cover of the steering column.
- Disconnect "6P" connector.
- Insert the key into the ignition lock and verify the presence of the connection between the terminals "No. 1" and "No. 2".
- The connection is missing when the key is not in the ignition lock.
- For a non-specification connection, replace the ignition lock.
- Perform the installation in reverse order.
