Diagnostic connector is available on all modern vehicles. By attaching a special adapter or diagnostic computer to a diagnostic connector, you can read and remove errors from the car control unit memory.
The location of the diagnostic connector depends on the make and model of the car. In most modern inomaroc, the diagnostic connector is located in the column of the steering column, more often to the left and below it (in cars with right and lower starboard vehicles). In the Volga cars, the manufacturer selected a non-trivial place for the location of the diagnostic connector: it is under the hood, on the front of the engine compartment on the passenger side. In later versions of the model, as well as the Gazelle, the diagnostic connector is located beneath the steering wheel.
On VAZ vehicles (Lada), the diagnostic connector may be located in different locations:
- In motor vehicles of the tenth family (VAZ 2110, 2111, 2112), the diagnostic connector is located to the right of the driver under the steering column.
- The diagnostic connector is located on the shelf under the glove box next to the VU, in the "Zoochach" s high panel (VAZ 2108, 2109, 21099).
- In the case of VAZ 2108, 2109, 21099, 2113, 2114, 2115 with the Europanel, the diagnostic connector is located on the central console under the stair cover, it is covered with a decorative cover.
- On Kalin, the diagnostic connector is located near the lever arm and is also covered by the cover.
- On Lada Prior, the diagnostic connector is located on the wall behind the bar.
