A 1.6 litre engine was used at Reno Logan. Originally an 8-valve motor, which was almost identical to 1.4-litre. Therefore, if necessary, replace the engine and 1.4 and the 1.6-liter engines are practically interchangeable.
The only thing that will be necessary is the redesign of the documents in the HYDRA and the reupholstery of the engine management system. All hinged-belts, rollers, GRM, air conditioning, etc. -rearranged from the previous motor.
If we are talking about a new 16-litre 1.6-litre engine, it will be quite difficult to replace the 1.4 litre engine.
