To remove the coolant temperature sensor on Mazda 3 (I), you must: Turn off ACBA. To gain access to the sensor, remove the air filter and take away the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. Then drain the coolant from the engine. Remove the coolant temperature sensor by means of a special device. Replace the coolant with a coolant temperature sensor at 15.7-23.5 Nm.
- Disable the KB.
- To gain access to the sensor, remove the air filter and divert exhaust gas recirculation from the intake manifold.
- Then drain the coolant from the engine.
- Remove the coolant temperature sensor by means of a special device.
- Replace the sensor pad.
- At installation, tighten the coolant temperature sensor with a temperature of 15.7 to 23.5 Nm.
- Collect everything in reverse order.
