There are various ways to determine the malfunction of the Citroen C4 motor vehicle by type of noise.
Engine Detonation at Acceleration:
- Ignition advance angle (petrol engines);
- Ignition spark plugs are not of type;
- Low octane number or bad fuel;
- Leak in the injection system, intake manifold or hoses (petrol engines);
- a concentration of tanning in combustion chambers;
- The fuel injection system is damaged (petrol engines).
Whistling or hoarse noise:
- densities in the intake manifold or of the throttle condition (petrol engines);
- Prom pad or vacuum hoses are not leakproof;
- a hole in the head of the cylinder block.
The rattling noise:
- The wear and tear of the valve;
- The water pump, the generator or other supporting elements of the engine.
Noise or hollow noises:
- wear on the bearings of the lower knob head (under load the noise decreases);
- The wear and tear of the indigenous bearings (under load of noise increases);
- pistons (especially cold);
- failure of the water pump, generator or other supporting elements of the engine.
When starting the engine (usually the first cold start):
- Wear of the caster or attire of the generator belt tension rollers,
- the wear of the generator belt,
- the wear and tear of the air-conditioner bearing.
- the wear and tear of the generator bearings.
