The Attention Assist Mercedes E-Class (W212) system determines the degree of fatigue on the basis of the readings of the position of the steering wheel, as well as the time of day and the duration of the journey. The sound and visual alarm is activated if the style of the driving changes relative to the previous driving behaviour.
To activate a feature, you must:
1. Pressing the right button on the left joystick to select the Assist menu item and click OK.
2. Press the bottom button to select Attention Assist and click OK.
3. Click OK to activate the system. At the bottom of the display, a cup of coffee appears at the bottom of the display.
The Attention Assist system operates in a speed range of 80 to 180 km/h.
