To dismount the steering wheel angle sensor (VDC) on the Ford Mondeo III: Disconnect the driver of the driver's frontal airbag and remove the steering wheel unit from the front of the steering column and remove the steering wheel from the basement of the steering column. Remove the screw of the bottom cover of the cover of the steering column. to release the wiring harness on the wiring harness and disconnect the steering wheel angle sensor connector. Remove the mounting screws and remove the assembly of the contact drum with the steering wheel angle sensor. To reverse the sensor installation, verify that the front wheels are in the straightener position. Next, install the sensor assembly on the steering column. Unlock and install the contact drum. Adjust the steering wheel screws. Adjust the steering wheel to the normal position, center the steering wheel with an effort of 44 Nm. Next, reverse the steering wheel angle and reset the steering wheel angle sensor and reset the water/transverse overloads sensor.

  • Disconnect the ASB and remove the module of the driver's frontal airbag.
  • Then drive the wheels to the straightaway position and remove the steering wheel from the basement of the steering column using the lift.
  • Remove the screw for the bottom cover of the bottom cover of the steering column.
  • Rotate the two top retaining screws on the top cover of the column, remove the wiring harness on the wiring harness, and deactivate the steering wheel angle sensor connector.
  • Remove the mounting screws and remove the assembly of the contact drum with the steering wheel angle sensor.
  • To reverse the sensor installation, ensure that the front wheels are in the straightest position.
  • Next, install the sensor assembly on the steering column.
  • To centre and place a contact drum on a full-time position.
  • Vretts and tighten the seven screws on the contact drum.
  • Apply a steering wheel to a normal position, centring and fastball a nut with a force of 44 Nm.
  • Set everything in reverse order.
  • Next, centre the steering wheel angle sensor and reset the water/transverse overloads sensor.
