The automatic gearbox installed on Peugeot 206 has three modes of operation: economy, sport, and winter.
The economy is a standard mode in which transmission operates at small speeds. This saves fuel. In sport mode, the enhanced transmissions are turned on at large engine speeds, compared to normal mode. The winter mode provides a solid start to the place in the ice-starts automatically included 2-speed, which, in view of the reduced thrust, leads to better traction of the wheels with the road.
