The main reason that the Nissan Tana engine over a long running load (e.g. on a prolonged rise or when coupled to a trailer) has ceased to gain momentum, is the opening of the overheating protection system. When the working liquid of the variator is heated to a certain value, the system signals the engine to reduce the revolutions of the crankshaft to prevent damage to the transmission. In this case, the driver may only regulate the flow of the gas to the point where the engine speed is not increased.
