Some of the vehicles (such as the removal of the central console) when the ignition switch is activated may activate the airbag malfunction indicator. If there is confidence that the indicator does not indicate a malfunction, it can be self-contained. To do this, you need to do the following:
- Insert key into the ignition switch
- Turn the key to the "Ignition" position (all indicators will be turned on)
- Wait for an airbag icon to go out
- Within one second after it has cleared off the ignition
- Wait 3 seconds
- Repeat paragraphs 1 to 5 three times.
The lamp will then start blinking at long intervals in self-diagnosis (but only if there are no misfire errors). After the ignition and engine start is switched off, the lamp shall be extinguded.
