The silencer is located under the bottom of the vehicle and is thus permanently exposed to moisture, dirt, road reagents and petrol, oil and lubricants. The situation is exacerbated by a high temperature situation of exhaust gases that heat the silencer. With time the silencer will run, holes appear in the silencer. It is not possible to notice this: even the little damage becomes the cause of a loud, unpleasant noise, which only increases over time. Sometimes the smell of the exhaust starts to enter the salon.

If the silencer has been burned, there are several options for solving the problem:

1. Replace the burning silencer: this is the most reliable but also the most expensive way to solve the problem with the burning silencer.

2. To make holes in silencers: welding can take a long time to solve the problem with burning silencer, but only provided that the burning silencer is welded by a professional.

3. Make holes in the silencer a high temperature leak: this method is only for repair of small cracks. Repairs are likely not to be durable. After a while, the sealant will burn.

4. Rewind the silencer with a special insulating material: this is also a temporary solution. Moreover, the insulating material may be worth more than the welding works.

It should be remembered that even a burnt silencer and no harm to the car, its noise annoyers other people. Besides, if the silencer burns hard, it won't be able to fix it and have to change it.
