The choice between the automatic gearbox with the hydraulic transformer and the variator is of concern to many. On the one hand, "machine" is a time-tested design, but complex and with ambiguous reputation. Warrior is a strange beast. There are different opinions about its reliability.
The advantages and automatic transmission of the gearbox and the variator can be "careful" attitude to the engine and ease of use.
Advantages of ACPR:
1. Proven construction
2. A set of services ready to undertake the repair of the NPP
3. Availability of the ATF to which the gearbox is filled
4. Endurance: automatic boxes are capable of "digestion" of the engine torque
Deficiencies in the ACPR:
1. Increased fuel consumption
2. "bility" for gearshift
3. ACPR does not like the towing and towing of the trailer
4. Large fuelling fluid volume
5. Potentially expensive repairs
Advantages of the option are:
1. Dynamic acceleration
2. Fuel economy
3. Cross-fade: no rods, no gears
Disadvantages of CV' s:
1. Failure to comply with the recommendations for exploitation may result in breakage
2. Very expensive variator oil
3. Need for an expensive procedure to replace a belt at a certain distance
4. Potentially expensive and complex repairs, for which not all services are taken
5. Engine power restrictions
In general, the construction of ACPR is better checked and many can be repaired by "vending machines". But modern variatos are quite reliable and there is no problem with proper operation.
What to choose is a "machine" or a variator is a matter of personal preferences. Many people do not like the "trolleybus", the absolutely smooth dispersal of the variator, someone is irritating the delay in switching to the "machine gun."
