The BNV 1.4 TDI engine may be the most interesting of those installed on Skoda Fabia II. This three-cylinder turbodiesel, a 59 kW capacity (80hp), is acquired by those for whom the low fuel consumption is important. The road at 90 km/h Fabia with this diesel engine consumes only 4.2 litres of diesel fuel for 100 kilometers, in the city of 7-7.5 liters, even if the distance is in traffic jams.

Up to 2000 revolutions per minute the engine is weak and after the turbine is connected it provides a good acceleration due to the torque of 195 Nm. The only downside of the engine is the high price of the TVE (for example, the replacement of a GRM-belt costs about 10,000 roubles).
